We are a church embracing the world with the love of Jesus.
Our Mission
The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination. They express their faith through various activities and services that address the spiritual, material, emotional, and relational needs of individuals. Their vision includes a commitment to caring for people, transforming lives, and reforming society by embodying God’s love and compassion.
OUR WORK
The Salvation Army was one of the early Christian movements that established academic institutions in Zimbabwe. The church runs numerous primary schools in different parts of the country. It also operates secondary boarding schools summarized below.
Salvation Army health institutions are often situated in hard-to-reach, rural areas where others are unable or unwilling to deliver. These hospitals or clinics are often the focal point of the community and offer a safe space and healthcare to people of all faiths or none, always serving patients without discrimination.
The Salvation Army supports individuals, families and communities around the world to gain independence through the acquisition of skills that lead to employment opportunities.
We imagine a world in which children and young people fully experience life, feeling loved and valued by their families and communities, and are empowered to make meaningful contributions.
Modern slavery acts as an umbrella term, covering several human rights issues, of which human trafficking is one. Essentially, modern slavery is the exploitation of people for their bodies and labour.
